Squam Lakes Association - The Squam Lakes Association (SLA) is dedicated to conserving for the public benefit the natural beauty, peaceful character and unique resource values of the lakes and surrounding area. In cooperation with local and state authorities and other conservation organizations, the Association promotes the protection, careful use and shared enjoyment of the lakes, mountains, forests, open spaces and wildlife of the Squam Lakes Region. Since 1904 the Squam Lakes Association has worked to preserve the character of the Squam Lakes.
Squam Lakes Conservation Society - The Squam Lakes Conservation Society is a land conservation organization dedicated to the protection of the natural environment in the Squam Lakes Region of central New Hampshire for the benefit of all present and future residents and visitors. SLCS was formed in 1960 by long-time residents of the area and obtained 501(c)(3) status as a private, non-profit charitable organization in 1961.

The Turkey Vulture is really interesting. Nice walk. Some of the animals are aging out 🤔 Great for children. One black bear!

We absolutely love coming here when we visit family on the lake! Such a beautiful walk and so much local wildlife to see! We all had a blast!

A nice representation of NH wildlife. The staff are caring and knowledgeable, ready to answer any questions. There is a great indoor interactive play area (chevron closed to COVID), and a very nice outdoor playground where you can pretend to be a squirrel evading predators. My kids love this place!

I've been here with kids from ages 2 years to 11 and all of them enjoyed it. We participated in a grade school field trip the last time we went and the educators were top notch.

Absolutely amazing place to visit, especially for children. I visit most often during the summer in the late morning to early afternoon. There is little to no wait time for entry. Great to get some outside time and lots of walking, with fun and educational exhibits for the kids. Growing up, we'd go here on field trips fairly often between 1st and 5th grade, and everyone always thought it was a lot of fun.
