Squam Lakes Association - The Squam Lakes Association (SLA) is dedicated to conserving for the public benefit the natural beauty, peaceful character and unique resource values of the lakes and surrounding area. In cooperation with local and state authorities and other conservation organizations, the Association promotes the protection, careful use and shared enjoyment of the lakes, mountains, forests, open spaces and wildlife of the Squam Lakes Region. Since 1904 the Squam Lakes Association has worked to preserve the character of the Squam Lakes.
Squam Lakes Conservation Society - The Squam Lakes Conservation Society is a land conservation organization dedicated to the protection of the natural environment in the Squam Lakes Region of central New Hampshire for the benefit of all present and future residents and visitors. SLCS was formed in 1960 by long-time residents of the area and obtained 501(c)(3) status as a private, non-profit charitable organization in 1961.

Very nice area for walking. Lots of hands on activities to increase knowledge. There is a small picnic area towards the beginning of you wanted to bring some food to eat. There is also a small cafe, if you didn't bring your own food.

Another fun experience at Squam. It was clean and beautiful. Always great to see the animals. The kids always love it.

Went on a weekday and was there for a good 90 minutes with our 3 year old. All rescued or orphaned animals and a good variety of animals across the site. There was also a dinosaur display with a variety of animatronic dinosaurs in and around the site. This appears to be temporary. Large play barn and slides meant that there was a good place to blow off steam too. Large picnic area as well for those bringing lunch with them. Free parking and EV charging points. Gift shop was nice, good mix of stuff.
