We went on their pontoon boat Squam Lake tour. It is a 90 minute tour, and is quite enjoyable. This lake has lots of water fowl, including lions, cormorants and eagles. It was also used for the filming of "On Golden Pond". The guide was very knowledgeable. The only downside was that the nature center was hard for us to find. Their are signs, but they are small, hard to see from a moving car. Google maps took us to the wrong place using the street address. But, I would definitely go again.

The whole experience was great! A lot of educational opportunity. Eric, one of the scientist, was displaying an owl and giving an educational talk about the owl. He took all kinds of questions from the kids. You get to see deer, bear, mountain lions, bobcats, coyotes, hawks, eagles and much more. When you go do not leave without taking one of the cruises. We had Eric again on the cruise and what an amazing experience. We saw loons, a bald eagle(trying to eat the loon chick). We got to see how the loon has different distress calls and how the second parent comes back quickly to help defend the chick. .

Loved this place when I was seven and love it still. It's only gotten better, while keeping a lot of the charming natural interactive pieces that I remember. Even now I had a lot of TIL moments. We went when it was raining so it was pretty quiet, and all of the animal enclosures have covered areas so we didn't even get too wet. Animals looked healthy and calm as well.

Great place, love all the exhibits and the animals, the staff is great as well. Always a fun time. Going on a weekday closer to late afternoon helps avoid most of the chaos of field trips.
