For nearly 60 years, Squam Lakes Natural Science Center has enlightened visitors through live animal exhibits, natural science education programs, guided Squam Lake Cruises, an informal public garden, and Blue Heron School, a nature-based Montessori early learning center. Today it is a top attraction in New Hampshire.

Business partnerships and support play a vital role in allowing Squam Lakes Natural Science Center to continue advancing an understanding of ecology by exploring New Hampshire’s natural world. The Science Center offers several ways to become involved, including membership, sponsorship, volunteer opportunities, and philanthropic giving. With over 65,000 annual trail visitors and nearly 9,000 lake cruise visitors, aligning with the Science Center provides companies a unique, engaging, and meaningful way to reach potential customers and positively impact the community. Squam Lakes Natural Science Center offers an incredible educational experience set in the heart of New Hampshire's natural beauty. The well-maintained trails lead visitors through diverse habitats, allowing close encounters with native wildlife like black bears, river otters, and mountain lions. The center's knowledgeable staff and engaging exhibits make learning about local ecosystems both fun and informative. Ideal for families, nature lovers, and anyone looking to connect with the environment, this center is a must-visit destination. Will definitely be coming back!

Always a great way to spend the day with the kids. They never get bored even after several trips, the love the interactive stations throughout the place, and the playground and zipline are a favorite. The giant insects were very cool to see as well. Well worth the membership!

This was a great stop for our group of 5 adults, a toddler, and a baby! So many fun things to do. It was very interactive and informative. The walk was easy and accommodates a stroller, if needed.

Wasn’t sure my boys (12 & 14) would enjoy going to a “nature” center mostly because, well, no video games there… Boy was I wrong! They absolutely loved it! We spent a few hours walking around and exploring everything. Definitely not the science center I remember as a kid. It’s so much nicer now!
