River Otter Exhibit

wooden building with an overhang and sign that reads River Otter

River otters thrive in clean marshes, swamps, rivers, ponds, and lakes. This exhibit highlights their need for unpolluted water and forested shorelines, and shows how streamlined bodies, powerful tails, and dense fur help them swim, hunt, and play. Watch live river otters in action, including underwater viewing. Our male otter arrived after being orphaned and rehabbed following the Gulf oil spill; our female otter came from the Pueblo Zoo in Colorado.
