Heidi received her B.A. in International Studies and Political Science from Middlebury College in 2003. For the past eighteen years she ran her own business just down the road from the Science Center reupholstering boats, cars, and furniture at Squam Make Upholstery and Custom Sewing. She is thrilled to be making the shift to Connected Learning Coordinator for the Science Center. In this role, she can focus on her passions for hands-on youth education and climate action by building and strengthening community connections, and helping local educators access the resources and support they need to teach climate resilience and data literacy to the next generation.

- What's the best part about working at the Science Center?
The people, the setting, and the animals! My two sons spent six magical years at Blue Heron School, and our whole family was so sad to lose that regular connection with the Science Center community when they graduated. I also feel so strongly about the work I am doing that it simply does not feel like work.
- Where would we find you on a sunny Saturday in July?
You would find me digging in my garden, in the fields with one of our family’s many farm animals, fly-fishing on a stream, or submerged in Squam Lake!
