In‑person Nature Outreach Programs
Expert naturalists lead these 45‑minute live animal outreach programs at your site. Each program features two of our live animal ambassadors and an engaging presentation with plenty of time for questions from participants.

Can you think of animals that are often disliked or misunderstood? Misleading public images can lead to negative attitudes and poor treatment of certain species. Meet live animals with a “bad rep” and discover the important roles they play as our wild neighbors.

Hidden Stories: The Unseen Lives of Animals
Have you ever wondered what happens in the natural world when people are not around?
Using real photos and videos from trail cameras, a Squam Lakes Natural Science Center naturalist reveals the hidden lives of local wildlife and the stories unfolding right in our own backyards. Participants discover surprising animal behaviors, explore how animals survive in the places they live, and meet a live animal ambassador connected to the story.
Program details:
- 45 minutes in length
- Must be presented indoors
- Features a wrap up with one live animal

The Fox Family’s Field
Follow a Fox family through their first year as curious kits grow, play, and learn the skills they need to survive in the wild.

Discover the surprising variety of animals, from Black Bears and Owls to smaller forest visitors, that visit a vernal pool as it changes through the seasons.
A Fawn in the Forest
Experience life as a young White‑tailed Deer fawn, from early explorations to learning how to navigate the challenges of growing up in the forest.
Live Animal Outreach Program Rates
Standard rates
- 350 dollars for one program reserved
- 325 dollars per program for 2 to 6 programs reserved
- 300 dollars per program for 7 or more programs reserved
- A round‑trip travel fee of 1 dollar per mile.
Nonprofit rates
For nonprofit organizations, including libraries:
- In‑person programs
- 275 dollars for one program reserved
- 250 dollars per program for 2 to 6 programs reserved
- 225 dollars per program for 7 or more programs reserved
