Since 2017, our Hidden Stories project has used dozens of strategically placed trail cameras to monitor wildlife on the Science Center’s 210-acre campus. Through every season and all kinds of weather, these cameras quietly record the daily lives of our wild neighbors. To date, they have captured close to 300,000 images and video clips, documenting almost one hundred species of mammals and birds.
An interactive exhibit on campus and a companion website invite visitors to explore these hidden stories and see the diversity of wildlife that shares our forests, fields, and wetlands. This project turns our land into a living laboratory and helps people understand how environmental conservation supports animals they may rarely see in person.
