Squam Lakes Association - The Squam Lakes Association (SLA) is dedicated to conserving for the public benefit the natural beauty, peaceful character and unique resource values of the lakes and surrounding area. In cooperation with local and state authorities and other conservation organizations, the Association promotes the protection, careful use and shared enjoyment of the lakes, mountains, forests, open spaces and wildlife of the Squam Lakes Region. Since 1904 the Squam Lakes Association has worked to preserve the character of the Squam Lakes.
Squam Lakes Conservation Society - The Squam Lakes Conservation Society is a land conservation organization dedicated to the protection of the natural environment in the Squam Lakes Region of central New Hampshire for the benefit of all present and future residents and visitors. SLCS was formed in 1960 by long-time residents of the area and obtained 501(c)(3) status as a private, non-profit charitable organization in 1961.

I have enjoyed visiting this amazing place for 30 years. Great hands on educational experience for all ages. I especially like bringing guests to learn about the New Hampshire wildlife, flora, fauna and geology. Keep up the good work.

Great enclosures for the animals with water features and lots of shade! And for taking pictures, no cage lines in my pictures because they use thick glass for viewing. Animals looked very healthy especially the lion she was fat :) Loved the walking trails too. It was just lots of fun and we will be back when its not so hot!

Great nature trail for kids. You can see approximately 10 animals in the trail for about 1 hour. A lot of educational resources in the exhibit. Additionally, there’s friendly crew.

Super awesome place. Wild life is happy and healthy. Interactive exhibits making learning so much fun. The folks who work and volunteer are kind, caring and happy to be there. We got a membership and now we have access to a couple days at other science centers at discount and even free days for our family of 4.

Great place to take the family for a day trip. Lots to see, beautiful area with some unique animals & very friendly staff. Good volunteer opportunities several times per year including hiking, fall clean up & more. Also have camps (day, some overnight, week long or longer) during school vacation, etc. Nice place.
